Marconiplein
The
Marconiplein is a big square where all kinds of public transport come together;
busses, the subways and trams. It is like the entrance to the west part of
Rotterdam. The square is named after Guglielmo Marconi. In Europe he is best known for his invention of wireless telegraphy in 1896. People also called it the Macaroniplein.
