Resurrected after the war: Goudsesingel


The Goudsesingel is an old, now filled, girth in Rotterdam.





The history of the Goudsesingel goes back to about 1360 when it was dug as Goudse Vest. The Gouda Vest was filled up between 1886 and 1905. After the damping Goudsesingel got its current name.






Until World War II a market was held weekly at the Goudsesingel. Slums located between Goudsesingel and Hoogstraat. Eventually all the
